My Story

Pat Langton is a purist creative, with 20 years of experience both here and overseas. He cut his teeth in the early 00s at Mccann, before moving to independent shop Magnum Opus, taking the reigns creatively at the independent ridiculously early in his career.

Needing to scratch his lifelong dream of international travel, awards and French rose, he left the comfort of Melbourne to rejoin Mccann London, and over a two-year stint, he scooped up a raft of awards including Cannes Lions, Clios, and NY Festival.

Upon returning and over the last 6 years he lead, re-built, rebranded, and sold his agency MOP (formerly Magnum Opus) to Hero, with his long-time collaborator and Melbourne ad legend Mike Allen.

He has shaped work for General Motors Aus inc. (Holden), Ford, Toyota, Victorian & Federal Government, Black and Decker, NHS, Nestle, Crown, Microsoft, Maybelline, L’Oreal, Mastercard, Coke, RMIT, V/Line, and Tennis Australia and many more.

He also writes regularly on advertising and has been published across all the industry blogs, in 2021 he landed a publishing deal for his book ‘Hook: The Idea Behind Why Ideas Catch On’.
